January 20, 2015 Board Meeting Agenda Item #27 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #15-0001 FOR AUDIO VISUAL AND VIDEO EQUIPMENT Description Bids to provide 'Audio Visual and Video Equipment' were received from seventeen vendors on December 12, 2014.  The bids of Adorama, Inc., AFP Industries, Inc., Audio Visual Innovations, Inc., Camcor, Inc., CDW Government, LLC, Commercial Design Services, Florida Visual Display Products, Inc., dba Florida Chalkboard Company, Lakeshore Learning Materials, Pro Sound, Inc., Pyramid School Products, School Specialty, Inc., Schoolhouse Products, Inc., Smiley's Audio Visual, Inc., and Troxell Communications, Inc., were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications.  Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  Funds for these purchases are contained in the operating and capital budgets of the schools and departments. Recommendation That the bids of Adorama, Inc., AFP Industries, Inc., Audio Visual Innovations, Inc., Camcor, Inc., CDW Government, LLC, Commercial Design Services, Florida Visual Display Products, Inc., dba Florida Chalkboard Company, Lakeshore Learning Materials, Pro Sound, Inc., Pyramid School Products, School Specialty, Inc., Schoolhouse Procucts, Inc., Smiley's Audio Visual, Inc., and Troxell Communications, Inc., to provide 'Audio Visual and Video Equipment' in an amount not to exceed $800,000.00, be approved as presented.
